Toronto Kurdish Community is established to protect and develop further the social, economic, political  and cultural rights of the Kurdish people. Our community adopts the principles of international law and strongly supports the laws aimed at preventing discriminations based on race, gender, religion, language and culture.Guided by the above principals the mission of Toronto Kurdish Community is to alleviate problems of the Kurdish society resulting from migration as well as to promote and inform the Canadian public and institutions about the struggle of the Kurdish people for their existence, language, culture and national identity.Although the Kurds number over 40 million people, the United Nations and other international organisations do not recognise the Kurdish people. Toronto Kurdish Community Centre will intensify its efforts in representing Kurdish people in democratic platforms in Canada. Toronto Kurdish Community Centre sees it duty to guide and co-ordinate the Kurdish Community Associations that aim to unite and develop the Kurdish people.
